School Tours

Educational School Tours are available in the Spring and Fall. We offer tours on weekdays in May, June and October.

Come experience the sights, sounds and smells of life on the farm!
Join us for a tour out in the country and learn about the ABC's of farming!

Your class will enjoy a wide range of hands-on activities that will help them gain an understanding of farming and the important role that agriculture plays in all our lives.

Each group will be accompanied by one of our friendly and knowledgeable farm guides. Our tour provides students with firsthand knowledge of farming and ties it into the school curriculum appropriate for your class. Your students will also enjoy some down-on-the-farm fun!

All Farm Tours Include:

  • A friendly and knowledgeable guide
  • A wagon ride through our fields and along the scenic Niagara Escarpment (weather permitting)
  • An up-close look at life on the farm and learning through play

Our programs are tailored for the learning and experiences of students ranging from JK to Grade 3.

Your little farmers will have a chance to learn about life on the farm - from Spring time planting to Fall time harvesting!

  • Spring: Let's learn about planting season, with a fun walk through our farm gardens. Students will learn the life cycle of a plant (including germination, photosynthesis and pollination - age appropriately with songs and games).
  • Fall: How do pumpkins grow you ask? Let's walk through the fields! Our friendly guides happily discuss the life cycle of a pumpkin; including their basic needs and how they grow, starting in the Spring and ending in the Fall.
  • In the Machinery Shed, learn about the farm machinery we use to till the soil & plant our crops.
  • Let's touch a tractor! Come see a real life tractor and talk about its use on the farm. Then, hop on the wagon as the tractor pulls us around the beautiful farm for a ride!
  • Our farm inspired playground is always a hit with our littlest visitors! A great way to enjoy the outdoors and burn some energy.

Tours on the farm get children outside, to learn through play, to engage in unique experiences and to form a connection to where their food comes from!
